Founder and CEO Ron Dembo and his Zerofootprint team is working with the US Department on harnessing the power of their “Green Button” data to help American understand and reduce their energy bills. Ron personally successfully lobbied the Ontario government to implement Green Button, which means that Smart Meter data will be more freely accessible. The company recently released a ZerofootprintPoints reward system to help encourage energy savings as they constantly seek new ways to engage people to save energy and offset usage.

Realizing that buildings account for more than 70% of the company's climate footprint, Andrea has been focusing on reducing the environmental impact of the company's real estate portfolio, including launching the construction of a series of LEED-certified buildings. She also implemented the Work Styles program that supports employees’ ability to telecommute.
