With the generous assistance of Hewlett Packard, The Clean50 Summit will bring together over 50% of last year’s Clean16, as well as a good representation of the balance of Clean50 Alumni, and introduce them to well over 75% of the incoming Canada’s Clean50, leaders from the winning Clean5 projects, and a number of senior members from the teams of various Clean50 honourees. Together the group will spend a full day working in teams to tackle various problems.
According to a UNESCO official in attendance, last year’s Summit was the first such exercise in the world – a unique gathering because of the breadth of the attendees – and the fact that it was primarily focused in solving problems – not watching power point slides – or listening to presentations.
This year will be no different.
The Summit will open with two questions for our leaders:
IF not NOW … then WHEN?
And if not YOU – then WHOM?
We look forward to another amazing day of inspiration, connection and recognition.
A MESSAGE FROM HEWLETT PACKARD
As the world’s largest technology company, we at HP embrace our role as a global citizen, recognizing that what we do and how we do it matters. This includes championing organizations that address global citizenship issues like Canada’s Clean50, and the annual Clean50 Summit, where attendees have the opportunity to foster relationships to help further clean capitalism in Canada.
HP is proud to champion the attendance of the Clean50 “Alumni” at this year’s summit, because we believe collaboration and partnerships are key to addressing the many pressing sustainability issues we face today.
The Clean50 Summit provides attendees the opportunity to meet with other business and sustainability-focused leaders as well as the opportunity to expand our community of likeminded individuals to accelerate meaningful and much needed action.
We look forward to working with other leaders from across Canada, and continuing to be a meaningful part of both the dialogue and the action.
