Student Energy, a global charity, based in Canada, is empowering the next generation of energy leaders who will accelerate our transition to a sustainable energy future. They build university students skills by providing rich digital content, global conferences, local chapters, and working with governments and companies to create opportunities for young innovators. The embodiment of energy, Meredith is driven to make it all happen. While leading a staff of 2, and 30 volunteers, in the past 2 years, she developed Student Energy Chapters, a program that now teaches 1,500 students on 3 continents to take action on energy; increased reach of Student Energy’s Energy System Map to 1 million+ users; and grown the International Student Energy Summit to be the largest event of its kind, uniting 600 students from over 85 countries, most recently in Mexico.
