Amanda spends her days putting real weight behind SHARE’s $148 billion in investor backing, encouraging companies across finance, retail, mining, utilities, transport and energy to raise their climate game. Over the past two years, her team engaged 62 companies, including direct shareholder proposals moving Canada’s banking sector to new renewable energy financing reporting compared to fossil fuels and with 11 Canadian retail brands, helping 45 percent of them move toward Science Based Targets. In the mining sector, where SHARE has worked for two decades, Amanda’s team engaged 9 companies, pushing over 50 percent of them toward Scope 3 action, which cover roughly three-quarters of their total emissions, one shareholder engagement at a time.
