Bob Willard, PhD

A leading expert on quantifying the business value of corporate sustainability strategies, Bob has given over 1,600 presentations to diverse audiences, authored six books, published two white papers, and created over a dozen free, open-source tools used by thousands of worldwide sustainability champions, including mini-tutorials with 500+ subscribers. An expert on sustainable procurement, sustainability assessments, standards, and reporting frameworks, Bob co-authored the Future-Fit Business benchmark, the only science-based sustainability assessment framework, and created the free, open-source Basic Sustainability Assessment Tool for use by SMEs. He serves on the Canadian government’s Low Carbon Procurement Advisory Committee and co-developed the Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council’s Sustainable Procurement Assessment while serving on their board. He is currently assisting with a project embedding sustainable procurement practices in all 24 Ontario colleges.
