Brennan Strandberg-Salmon
Co-Executive Coordinator, Climate Change Branch of the BC Council for International Cooperation (BCCIC)
Under Brennan’s leadership, BCCIC’s Climate Change Branch has empowered over 60 youth since 2022 to become climate leaders through research and policy advocacy projects. He led efforts to raise over $25,000 to send eight youth delegates to COP27 in Egypt, where they contributed to global climate discussions. Brennan coordinated seven impactful youth-led projects, such as a green jobs toolkit for high school career educators, and led government advocacy efforts by securing meetings with federal and provincial officials. In this volunteer role, Brennan supported BC youth in developing policy and leadership skills for climate careers, while managing the branch alongside work and university.
