With a 41% reduction in GHGs and energy intensity cut in half between 2010 and 2021, targeting a further 50% reduction from 2019 levels by 2025, and tracking towards net carbon neutrality by 2027, TELUS has a justly deserved reputation as the “greenest” Canadian telco for its sustainability efforts. A 25 year vet, Colleen has been a huge part of the many reasons why, leading the teams that executed TELUS’ first ever ESG Investors Day in London, and the “Clean Coast, Clean Waters Initiative”, an ocean shoreline cleanup that, over a six week journey, recycled of over 200 tonnes of marine debris along 300 kilometres of B.C.’s shoreline, with support from multiple First Nations and employing 180 people. Outside of TELUS, Colleen service as an SME for a community advisory board led to the Vernon Council’s endorsement of the city’s first Climate Action Plan.
