The days of electricity surpluses in Québec are over. Dave has made it his job to stretch every kilowatt further. He has expanded the scope of Hydro-Québec’s actions by deploying the most ambitious energy-efficiency pathway in Québec’s history, representing more than $10 billion in investment. With the goal of cutting energy consumption by 10 percent over ten years, Hydro-Québec has partnered with customers to help them develop better energy-saving habits while ensuring household comfort, business competitiveness and collective prosperity. The efficiency programs already cut residential peak demand by about 700 megawatts last winter alone! The target: 21 terawatt-hours saved by the middle of next decade, one better habit at a time.
