Dave has built Amp Energy into, literally, a global powerhouse.  The Port Credit ON based company combines 7 gigawatts of flexible renewable energy assets world-wide (built or under contract) with a disruptive grid-edge digital energy technology platform, to create a global energy transition platform.  The significant global scale of the company’s renewable energy portfolio drove emission reductions of 227,771 MTCO2e in 2021 alone. Held back by grid limits (current distribution infrastructure has serious limitations specifically around thermal load limits that won’t allow most distribution grids to have a penetration of more than approximately 25% for a sustained period of time) Amp has also created a smart transformer that will allow distribution grids to increase renewable energy penetration towards net-zero, and is presently being rolled out by a large distribution utility in the UK.
