David is the technology founder behind Forge Hydrocarbons, a biofuel start up created to commercialize his patented breakthrough process. At one end an “ugly” feedstock such as animal fat, beef tallow, crop seed oil or even restaurant grease. At the other – pure gas or diesel fuel. Most biofuel lacks the energy density of crude oil based products – Not so in this case: the same energy as fossil fuel based products – but better because there’s no impurities: no metals, sulphur or nitrogen. Forge has a pre-production facility under construction expected to produce 200,000 litres of high octane fuel per year.
