Toronto-based energy software company, Edgecom delivers measurable energy efficiency at industrial scale. Its AI- and IoT-powered platform manages more than 980 MW of load across 205+ commercial and industrial facilities in 16 states and provinces. With 900+ devices deployed, Edgecom delivers $103 million in annual energy savings and has saved clients over $350 million to date, now cutting more than 60,000 tonnes of CO₂ each year. The Certified B Corp. has scaled from 6 to 30 employees, and has attracted several awards from industry as a global leader in industrial energy innovation.

A PhD (Waterloo) and P.Eng. Mehdi leads Edgecom’s technical team, where he architects the “under-the-hood” port on of the solution, using real-time data models, energy forecasting, energy trading analytics, controls soft ware, and BESS optimization that all combine seamlessly to enable Edgecom’s clients to both save energy costs and reduce emissions. Under his leadership Edgecom won the several industry awards for impact. Mehdi also spearheaded Edgecom’s expansion into Alberta and the eastern USA and whilst enabling secure IoT integrations across 900+ devices.
