With the Great Bear Sea Project Finance for Permanence (PFP), Eddy led his team in negotiating with Canada and BC to protect a vast marine ecosystem while creating jobs and supporting Indigenous businesses. Securing $335 million, this initiative not only protects one of the world’s largest marine areas – it also drives economic growth. Wit government and philanthropic investments secured, the PFP will create 3,000 jobs and support 200 Indigenous businesses over the next 20 years. Additionally, with a novel Indigenous-led ESG framework, Coast Funds aligned a $100-million trust fund with Indigenous values and UNDRIP principles. Eddy’s innovative investment approach is paving new pathways to embed Indigenous rights and sustainable development within our economies, redefining how we invest in our planet’s future.
