Emma Norton
In just three years, Emma worked with her co-founders to turn a side-of-desk project into one of Canada’s first deep retrofit accelerators, backed by $17.5 million in federal funding and a 30-fold leap in annual revenue. The result? A pipeline of more than 1.5 million square feet of commercial buildings pursuing deep retrofit planning across Atlantic Canada, representing ~18,000 tonnes in CO₂e reductions each year. By co-developing programs with Mi’kmaq and African Nova Scotian partners and convening 10+ cross-sector stakeholders, she built a foundation for equitable decarbonization in a region often overlooked, while also creating 19+ new green jobs—deeply embedding climate justice and affordability at the heart of Atlantic Canada’s retrofit revolution.
