Gabrielle Bastien

Gabrielle developed and established the 1st national organization in Canada solely dedicated to promoting the regeneration of soil health as a solution to climate change. Taking a multi-pronged, multi-stakeholder approach, she worked to engage ~10,000 stakeholders to alter their practices, which contributed to educating ~500,000 on the topic – and took the concepts global, twice bringing together an international group of 800+ farmers, agronomists, researchers, businesses, non-profits, policy makers and citizens from 20 countries to discuss and advance the best ways to leverage land regeneration at the internationally recognized Living Soils Symposium. Gabrielle’s work has helped change the climate narrative in Canada and led to a better understanding of a solution that is, quite literally, under our feet.
