Drawing upon a lifetime of activism in urban planning, sustainable development and community health, in his role as Ontario’s Minister of the Environment and Climate Change, Glen is a passionate and powerful advocate for the transition to a global low-carbon economy. Most recently he has focused on partnering with Québec and California in what will be North America’s largest carbon trading market. Glen has also championed Ontario’s Climate Change Action Plan, which outlines the actions to be taken to help households and businesses switch to using low-carbon technologies. He also walks the talk: We have often seen Glen walking or biking to one environmental gathering or another, despite bitter cold. And the AC in his office block is set to “off”.
