Gregary Ford

Addressing the critical need for improved water literacy and sustainable decision-making, Gregary has led transformative efforts to provide over 8 million people with access to essential water data. His most notable achievement is the launch of the Biinagami shared platform, an original initiative created in collaboration with the Anishinaabek Nation and the Royal Canadian Geographic Society. Biinagami weaves Indigenous knowledge with cutting-edge technology, using ceremony, mapping, inclusive storytelling, augmented reality, and community engagement to drive ecosystem restoration and nurture equitable relationships among people, wildlife, and the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence watershed. This multifaceted approach exemplifies the power of braiding tradition and innovation.
