Ian Tharp
Anchoring the company’s Eastern Canadian operations and establishing the team’s policy advocacy foundation, throughout his long career, Ian also played a critical role in shaping national cleantech strategy, engaging with OCTIA, the Canada Cleantech Alliance, and government stakeholders to improve investment tax credits, access to capital, and IRAP program activation, as well as advancing financial support for renewable energy and clean tech innovators for the last 25 years. His vision ensured the team’s transactions were complemented by ecosystem-level impact, creating a framework for sustained cleantech sector growth. Ian’s leadership in policy and industry organizations continues to influence Canadian cleantech development and strategic advisory practices, a most worthy legacy, despite a life cut short too soon.
