Jason Chee-Aloy
Using his diverse background in energy consulting, Jason has become a motivating educator within Canada’s electricity sector. In April 2022, Jason led CanREA’s Board of Directors through their first ever strategy session retreat, resulting in a minimum target of 13 GW of new renewable energy and energy storage (RE&ES) projects to be developed Canada-wide by 2030 helping to meet net-zero objectives. Jason also continues to lead an over 20-member Consortium of RE&ES suppliers within Ontario’s electricity market. This Consortium is a driving force behind Ontario’s IESO’s plans to meet supply targets and evolve the market. As of September of 2022, IESO has committed to contract for RE&ES projects and more effectively integrate these into the market.
