In the 2 years since Jeanne developed KingSett’s approach to corporate sustainability, it has yielded serious results: a year-to-date energy reduction of over 15%, a 24% decrease in water use and increased waste diversion rates of 7.5% across the portfolio, achieving energy cost reductions of over $1M in 2015 alone. The company achieved a GRESB Green Star ranking, published two Corporate Annual Sustainability Reports and has increased green building certifications within the portfolio by over 30%. In addition, Jeanne has been actively involved with the development team to ensure sound “green design”, and with the acquisition team to conduct energy audits before buying new properties.
