John authored one of the first articles calling for a green recovery from the pandemic in mid-March 2020, and has continued ever since. As a lead researcher for the “Task Force for a Resilient Recovery”, John’s insights informed the recommendations calling for over $55 billion in spending on a post-COVID green recovery. He was also a lead author on the Resilient Recovery Framework, an assessment tool used by a number of policymakers and advocates enabling detailed evaluations of green recovery measures, including federal civil servants in environmental and resource departments to assess the economic and equity impacts of green spending.
