Julia Croome, JD
Responsible for overseeing dynamic teams totaling 34 lawyers, Julia goes to court to fight for climate justice in Canada. She and her team have made incredible progress with the Canadian Net Zero Emissions Accountability Act. This isn’t just any climate legislation; it comes with a tough framework featuring clear, time-bound goals. Julia’s leadership also enabled Canada’s most detailed climate plan to date, unveiled in March 2022, followed by an enhanced progress report in December 2023. On top of that, she has been a driving force behind the youth-led Charter climate case against the Ontario government, making headlines across Canada. A win here could set a precedent in holding governments accountable for their climate targets. Julia’s work is not only enhancing transparency, but catalyzing an important shift in climate policy discourse.
