Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministers of Environment and Climate Change / Energy and Natural Resources, Government of Canada
A team of three political powerhouses, who come from different political parties, but who stand together for climate action. As members of parliament, these impactful women are sending a strong signal that climate issues are non-partisan – though one party’s absence on this team is hard to ignore.

As Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministers of both Environment & Climate Change and Energy & Natural Resources, Julie is curbing the trajectory of Canada’s carbon footprint through impactful work on zero-emission vehicles and plastic pollution. Regulations she has championed requiring all new vehicles sold by 2035 to be zero-emission are projected to cut 362 megatonnes of GHGs. At the INC4 negotiations, Julie’s leadership and the creation of the Plastics Action Zone rejuvenated global efforts to combat plastic pollution, putting the Ottawa Roadmap in place for a binding treaty. Beyond these achievements, she has advanced offshore energy development and sustainable jobs legislation, demonstrating a multifaceted approach to climate policy that balances complex negotiations with grassroots advocacy.
