Justine Hendricks
The conversation around agriculture, food production and climate change mitigation is evolving rapidly, moving Farm Credit Canada into a prime position to drive change. Just last year, Justine and FCC steered nearly $700M toward sustainable finance, building one of North America’s first comprehensive Sustainable Finance Frameworks to turn climate goals into criteria producers can actually borrow against. International bodies are now turning to FCC for advice on how to implement the Framework in their own contexts. Along the way, FCC became a signatory to the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials and developed Canada-specific, revenue-based emissions factors for the beef sector. Justine is betting that Canadian agriculture can grow right alongside the climate transition.
