Through a focus on environmental justice, Kate has shown a ‘Tru’ commitment to the Earth, spearheading a donation matching program rooted in environmental justice, helping underprivileged frontline communities experiencing the most adverse effects of the climate crisis, which to date has provided more than 30 million laundry eco-strips to non-profit organizations in Canada, and around the world. She leads staff-wide ESG education and engagement in topics such as Ocean Pollution, Zero Waste Fundamentals and Mental Health, while organizing shoreline cleanups. After hours, she is the Vice Chair of the Salish Sea Research & Education Society, a non-profit that has thus far educated 2,500+ students about ocean health, pollution and solutions.
