Getting a sitting Deputy Prime Minister to announce federal policy at your conference is no small feat, but Katie pulled it off. Leading a small, high-performing team, she engages more than 1,000 PRI signatories across Canada and the US. In 2024, her work was key to the success of the world’s largest responsible investment conference, drawing 2,000 professionals to Toronto. Working directly with the Privy Council Office, she secured a stage for announcing plans for a made-in-Canada sustainable investment taxonomy and mandatory climate disclosures for large federally incorporated companies. On Climate Engagement Canada’s steering committee, she helped expand international investor participation, growing CEC from $3 trillion in collective assets under management at inception to more than $15 trillion today, not a bad return on a conference.
