Maciej achieved a metallurgical milestone in Ontario by pioneering a process to directly produce metal from lithium carbonate, eliminating toxic chlorine gas emissions and in the process, the ability to revolutionize the future of electric transport through using clean technologies to produce next-generation batteries. Maciej’s leadership also led to the advancement of an eco-friendly physical vapor deposition (PVD) technology producing the ultra-thin lithium metal battery materials crucial for advancing battery technologies, significantly reducing costs and lithium consumption, achieving a metallurgical feat in scaling up novel lithium metal production, ultimately positioning North America for a secure, clean supply chain in EV batteries and fostering a competitive regional EV industry.
