Michael Jantzi
Michael has been active in the responsible investment field since the early 1990s. He helped to pioneer the socially responsible investment industry in Canada and has become known globally as an accessible, fair-minded industry leader whose peers often seek his counsel. Sustainalytics helped to develop the S&P/TSX Clean Technology Index which launched in March 2010. The index measures the performance of companies on the TSX whose core business is in the development and deployment of green technologies. It is a comprehensive index of Canadian companies focused on addressing environmental issues such as climate change. Michael also helped to develop the Global ESG Leaders Index family with STOXX Limited. These new equity indices are fully transparent with components selected based on a comprehensive set of sustainability ratings. As a result, investors can make well informed choices.
