The transition starts here: Helping students to understand energy through a sustainability focused lens, Mila’s efforts saw 200 Energy Education Tool Kits built and distributed to schools in Alberta and BC during the pandemic, providing 7021 students a hands-on energy education experience. Energy Innovation Days provided 747 Junior/Senior High students and 92 teachers the opportunity to explore local energy innovations aimed at supporting a lower carbon future and the “Generate Youth Energy and Climate Summit” saw 120 high school students and 60 teachers from 20 schools come together for 4 days of workshops, panels, and tours focused on energy and climate topics.
