Nearly 2.3M trees planted annually under her watch—up from 800,000, and she grew her team from 10 to 35. But those impacts aren’t just tallied in seedlings: Nicole introduced biodiversity and equity standards across grants, convened 400 experts at Canada’s only national urban forestry conference, and guided Tree Canada’s reconciliation journey with Indigenous partners, leading to landmark collaborations such as a $5M pilot restoring caribou habitat. With $100M in multi-year commitments secured, 4.3M trees already planted nationwide since January 2023, and projects spanning fire-ravaged forests to city streets, Nicole has made Tree Canada both a convener and a catalyst.
