Paul Bubelis
For over 25 years, the Sustainability Network Paul founded has worked tirelessly to create a strong environmental non-profit (ENGO) community in Canada which is essential to tackle the dual crises of climate change and biodiversity loss. By building organizational capacity of ~700 staffed ENGOs in the network, and honing the leadership skills of 13000+ subscribers, Paul and Sustainability Network have long played a vital role in strengthening Canada’s ENGO community, providing organizational management webinars tailored to the ENGO community (2021 attendance: 6029), and recently providing vital data and resources to help ENGOs navigate the pandemic.
Since 2020, Paul has been building a team comprised of 35 the C-suite of Canada’s largest ENGOs, executive directors and senior staff of youth-led and medium-sized staffed organizations, and ENGO BIPOC leaders. In close collaboration with a Steering Committee and key advisors, Paul is leading Canada’s ENGO sector to define the top organizational challenges facing ENGOs, and consider what capacity-building supports are most needed across five key areas: Truth & Reconciliation, Environmental Justice & Equity, Leadership Development, Resilient Organizations and Technology. Vision2030 empowers the Sustainability Network to support the ENGO community to flourish and reach its full potential.
