Rachel entered EDC three years ago with a sustainability-themed hard hat and shovel, because from day one it was about building. Her initial crew of four is now a team of 30-plus strong, loaded with experts on climate, human rights, sustainable finance, and sustainability reporting. Under her dynamic leadership, the team is constructing the organization’s pathway to net zero by 2050, which includes a blueprint for reducing operational and financed emissions. And like a building needs bricks, Rachel recognized that a strong ESG structure needs data. Under her guidance, the team strengthened reporting and introduced a consolidated ESG scorecard to bring greater transparency to its sustainability progress.
