For climate action to succeed, someone has to finance it and since 1999, Bob has been one of those people, as he has grown Stonebridge to be a preeminent provider of ESG-oriented financing solutions to the renewable energy and social impact sectors.  A PRI signatory and an early-adopter in the Canadian project finance industry, Stonebridge has deployed $1.75 billion in loans to community-enhancing projects on behalf of various regulated financial institutions, financing over 50 sustainable energy projects generating 800MW, including 19 projects totaling 300MW supporting various Indigenous and First Nations groups.  Overall, Stonebridge financings have led to 500,000 tonnes in reduced in GHG emissions annually. Aside from supporting energy transition, Stonebridge has also assisted in financing the expansion of two electrified light-rail transit systems in Ottawa and Toronto totalling 32km, thus reducing commuter reliance on cars and lowering carbon emissions.
