River Alkalinity Enhancement uses an ordinary mineral – limestone – for an extraordinary climate job: locking away carbon for millennia while restoring rivers. Saavin uses her background in climate finance and trade policy to fund this science via business. She secures capital for CarbonRun’s international expansion, structuring millions of dollars in offtake agreements and funding for the world’s first RAE projects – proving nature and carbon impacts can be achieved together. She carries CarbonRun’s case to Ottawa and Brussels, advocating for RAE’s recognition in federal and EU carbon policy. Previously at BCG, she advised $15B in climate investments that mobilized 10x capital and mitigated hundreds of millions of tons of carbon.
