Sabine Dietz, PhD
Sabine built a team passionate and knowledgeable about nature, community-building, and systemic change – a perfect storm making landfall in Atlantic Canada. She turned CLIMAtlantic into a powerhouse in the adaptation space within the span of three years, with a surge in service requests from 67 to 530, and an annual budget soaring from $669k to $3M, bringing in millions of dollars in climate project and capacity building funding for their partners and clients. Communities, Indigenous and provincial governments, non-profits, economic sectors, businesses, and property owners all turn to CLIMAtlantic for free expertise and support to reduce climate and overall risks. Sabine’s strategy goes beyond mere adaptation; it’s about fostering connections between communities, businesses, and governments for broad community resilience.
