Sandrine has over two decades of expertise in energy efficiency, culminating in the establishment of a design-build HVAC firm with the goal of decarbonizing building portfolios. By transforming the traditional equipment replacement model, Sandrine has enabled deep decarbonization initiatives that would have otherwise been limited to equipment replacement. With over 100 projects completed, the total reduction in GHG emissions exceeds 65,000 metric tonnes. She has also actively transformed project methodologies to ensure that private commercial market outcomes are financially viable and sustainable. This approach, which is similar to the ESCO models that are prevalent in public projects, has been uniquely adapted for the private sector in Eastern Canada. Sandrine’s commitment to climate action extends far beyond her firm – among her many endeavours, Sandrine and her husband rescued a century-old apple orchard and transformed it into a carbon-negative cidery, focused on carbon sequestration over profit.
