Sara Ganowski

As we look forward to a carbon neutral future, Sara is doing her part to support EV adoption. She is currently leading Alectra’s electric transportation research to advance the utility’s role in e-mobility. Prior to this, Sara led Alectra’s EV program: “AlectraDrive,”one of Ontario’s first utility-led EV programs that offers subsidized EV infrastructure with load management capabilities and time-varying pricing. Under Sara’s leadership, the program addressed financial and regulatory barriers to EV adoption to allow future scalable solutions. So far, AlectraDrive has seen significant results in advancing industry collaboration and has achieved more than 40 MTCO2 equivalent in GHG savings, recruited 240 EV drivers to test smart EV technology, and consulted 200+ multi-residential buildings on addressing barriers to EV charging.
