Sarah doesn’t just manage energy efficiency – she multiplies it! Leading Efficiency Nova Scotia’s (ENS) programs until July 2024, she helped Nova Scotians avoid a total of 226,531 tonnes of GHG emissions, 304 GWh in electrical savings, 59 MW in demand savings, and 741,269 GJ in savings from other fuels between 2023 and 2024 – all while improving comfort and reducing bills. Under her guidance, low- and moderate-income homeowners, and Mi’kmaw and African Nova Scotian communities received expanded access to heat pumps, insulation, and more, with average annual bill savings of $1,500–$1,800. Today, she leads Halifax Climate Investment, Innovation and Impact Fund (HCi3), a subsidiary that identifies investments, delivers grants and an EV infrastructure initiative; all to accelerate Nova Scotia’s net-zero journey.
