Sarah Goodman, MBA
Sarah works behind-the-scenes in the Canadian Government as the Prime Minister’s senior advisor on climate, and strives to make our country a more resilient and sustainable place. In the process she helped create the pathways to achieve the greenest government in Canadian history.
She accelerated climate action amid the pandemic and used her expertise to drive a whole-of-government approach to developing Canada’s strengthened climate plan. Sarah guided the strengthened climate plan by engaging in strategy development and relentlessly driving the process in a drastically compressed timeline.
One of her main accomplishments is the adoption of a pathway to a carbon price of $170 a tonne by increasing the price by $15 a year until 2030 – a critical move widely hailed by climate scientists and leading economists, as a major step forward.
