Director of Innovation & Product Development
Plastic lumber only works if it performs as well as the real thing, and making it excel has been Scott’s job for years. At GreenWell, he engineers 100 percent recycled plastic lumber that displaces traditional timber while giving landfill-bound plastic a second career. His biggest win came from a partnership with Goodwill, which set out in 2024 to recycle every scrap of plastic from unsold donations. Scott developed the processing and integration systems to make that possible, diverting more than 500,000 pounds, of waste plastic so far. About 90 percent of GreenWell’s material now comes from within 250 kilometres, cutting transport emissions and keeping the whole supply chain refreshingly local.
