Selwyn Crittendon
Selwyn is pushing IKEA Canada toward new industry standards for sustainable retail. Among the company’s accomplishments is the implementation of the Zero-Emissions (ZE) home deliveries program. In December 2021, IKEA Canada started its ZE home delivery journey, with 25 home deliveries made using ZE trucks. Fast forward to June 2024, 25% of home deliveries are being made by ZE trucks, and 15 of 17 IKEA units have commercial chargers installed. IKEA remains in the lead as the only retailer of big and bulky deliveries using ZE, and is driven to inspire others to follow their lead toward electrification in retail. Selwyn also championed the growth of the IKEA Canada x Furniture Bank partnership. Since 2019, IKEA has donated over 23,400 mattresses to approximately 11,440 families in need through their partnership with Furniture Bank, equalling over 5 CN Towers-worth of mattresses donated, and 1,716 metric tons of avoided GHGs.
