Overseeing the environmental management of over 60 million square feet of real estate, Sera is Ivanhoé Cambridge’s first point of contact on all aspects of environmental risk management and due diligence. Since 2013, she has overseen the environmental due diligence related to a volume of transactions equivalent to more than $9 billion. Additionally, Sera supervised environmental remediation projects in excess of $5.5 million. She also developed and implemented a rigorous waste audit program for over 29 million square feet of commercial properties which led to a waste diversion rate of 53.8%. Following Sera’s lead, the company reached an overall reduction of landfilled waste per year of 19,000 tonnes, or 1700 trucks full of garbage is being recylced and reused.
