What’s better than an A? Under Shilpa’s guidance, Manulife increased their MSCI score from A to AA after developing their first ESG strategy. She established an ESG Governance model to ensure the strategy had executive oversight. Shilpa and her team were able to align internal stakeholders, often with competing priorities, by establishing processes that allowed for meaningful collaboration across the corporation. Currently at Citizen Relations, Shilpa has the opportunity to bring together 3 disciplines that are usually siloed (Sustainability, Social Impact, DEI) in corporations to take a systems approach to connecting the dots for clients to create exponential impact and move the dial on environmental and social outcomes.
