Spending his days pushing for tangible clean electricity wins for Canadians, Stephen leads a talented team at the Foundation, where he has been central to shaping the new federal Clean Electricity Regulations, set to reduce 181 Mt of emissions by 2050 – the most impactful electricity regulations in Canadian history. He’s mobilized 1,200 volunteers, coordinated 30+ MPs meetings, and driven over 30,000 petition signatures. Stephen co-leads the Green Budget Coalition’s electricity recommendations, helping secure $20B in public investments in clean electricity. Fierce opposition from utilities and fossil fuel lobbyists hasn’t slowed him – Stephen proves that meticulous research, coalition-building, and relentless public engagement can move mountains, or at least megawatts.
