Twenty years in sustainability consulting will teach you that the hardest sell can often be the budget line, not the science; Thibaut has spent that entire career making the case. As a partner leading one of Canada’s longest-running dedicated sustainability consulting teams, he has advised more than 100 clients through the field’s toughest stretch, shrinking budgets, economic uncertainty, and market disruption, while hiring, training, and mentoring over 250 sustainability professionals who went on to lead the field themselves elsewhere. Recent work includes an outcome-measurement framework helping a major financial institution deploy billions in sustainable finance capital, and a decarbonization strategy for a national retailer projected to cut thousands of tonnes of CO2e over the next decade. Two decades in, the headwinds haven’t let up, and neither has Thibaut.
