After two decades in the NGO sector, Tony joined the Prime Minster’s office in 2022 where he plays a key role orchestrating the Government of Canada’s policy agenda on climate, nature, energy, and the clean economy. Since joining the PMO, he has overseen and played a role in numerous climate and environmental policy initiatives of the Government of Canada including, the National Climate Adaptation Strategy (supported by a $1.6B investment), the Critical Minerals strategy (supported by a supported by a $4B investment) and updates to the federal carbon pricing regime; regulatory initiatives on Zero Emission Vehicles and Clean Fuels; targeted measures such as an oil to heat-pump conversion program; and, tax measures to incentivize clean technology , and clean manufacturing.[120]
