Tori is pricing the soil, helping farmers make money by storing carbon in the ground instead of the atmosphere. She launched three supply chain programs with PepsiCo, Griffith Foods, Hiram Walker, and Ingredion that have already committed $2.5 million and secured $25 million more over five years for measurable environmental outcomes, changing farming practices on 57,000 acres, cutting net emissions by over 5,000 tonnes of CO2e, and reducing phosphorus loss into the Great Lakes by over 65,000 metric tonnes. She also merged the Innovative Farmers Association of Ontario into her network and launched the FIRE research program, which has already field-tested technologies that could cut nitrogen use by 30 percent.
