Leading Canada’s largest food rescue organization of 65, Lori’s team rescues more than 15 million lbs of unsold food from across the entire supply chain, redistributing it to a network of 370+ non-profit partners in the GTA and facilitates surplus food exchange across Canada, fulfilling a unique environmental and social mission of “No waste, No hunger”. Under her leadership, Second Harvest launched FoodRescue.ca, a community-led, online platform for local food donations across Ontario, now expanded to BC, and The Avoidable Crisis of Food Waste, a world-first research study that measures food loss and waste across the Canadian supply chain and which has already become the standard for defining its scale and scope.
