After a successful stint at Celestica where he started up their clean-tech business, Mike made the jump from an investor in Morgan to their CEO. Despite the fact that solar prices dropped by over 50% during his tenure, he has turned the company around by raising funding and launching multiple products based on their proprietary design and optical film platform. Among them is the innovative SPOTlight platform which when applied over glass surfaces generates 20% more energy than standard panels and screens out 80+% of the heat all while allowing conditioned diffused light to filter in. Never one to wear a single hat, Mike continues to support Canada’s cleantech ecosystem through policy advocacy and investing in, and advising four early stage companies.
