Monica Gattinger
Through the creation and use of Positive Energy, a neutral nonpartisan research and engagement platform, Monica is helping to address the polarization and opposition surrounding energy projects and renewable infrastructure, strengthening public confidence in energy and climate decision-making. Her leadership skills underpin PE’s success and has made it an influential voice in federal and provincial decision-making. She has leveraged the university’s convening power to bring together business, government, regulatory, ENGO, Indigenous and academic leaders from across the country to pinpoint sources of local opposition, and to identify their relationship to larger policy issues like climate, reconciliation, cumulative effects and a national energy vision.
