The people who make a difference

Toronto Hydro is committed to climate action, while continuing to deliver safe, reliable and clean electricity to Canada’s largest and fastest growing city. Under the leadership of Anthony, Amanda and Jodi, Toronto Hydro developed its Climate Action Plan – the first of its kind in Canada and a key component of the utility’s Utility of the Future. This plan shows how a local distributor can evolve to operate, serve and harness growth and electrification; facilitate climate action and decarbonization; and continue to sustainably modernize. The utility is committed to achieving net zero in its own operations by 2040.

The Clean50 Individual awards are selected from 16 diverse categories that transcend industries, academia, different levels of government, thought leaders and advocates, and are based on accomplishments delivered over the prior two years.
